FENG SHUI QUICK
TIP 40
Cheryl had the talent to take
her career where she wanted it to go, but couldn’t seem to make any
progress. She felt something was holding her back, but didn’t know what.
As we walked through her apartment, I noticed a curved crack across
the lower edge of the full-length mirror in her foyer. As Cheryl walked
toward her front door, the crack looked like a loop of wire lying on
the floor, just where it would trip her up on her way out the door.
Cheryl immediately agreed to replace the mirror, so she could make her
way out into the world and progress in her career without tripping herself
up every day.
A cracked mirror can result
in a flawed perception of yourself or of a situation. Anything reflected
in the mirror will be cracked as well, literally or symbolically.
Antique mirrors that are
mottled where the silver backing has oxidized are not necessarily a problem,
but you should take a look at what that mirror is reflecting, and what
area of your home it is in. Consider moving it if necessary.
INTENTION—As
you replace any cracked or corroded mirrors, stay focused on your
intention to improve and repair your own self-image and/or the related
area of the ba gua.
AFFIRMATION—When
you are done, make a verbal affirmation to support your intention, such
as: “All cracks and impediments in [gua] are now completely removed, and
[aspect of life] is now clear and strong.”
VISUALIZATION—Take
a moment to admire the clear unbroken reflection in your new mirror. Visualize
the specific result you would like to experience, as if it has already
happened.
